The Department of Urology has a comprehensive range of services for the evaluation, diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic Urological conditions. We have the expertise and surgical skills in general urology and all the subspecialties of urology. All our specialist staff have great experience of treating complicated cases. Our faculty has presented many National and International papers worldwide.
The Department plays an important part in the training of medical undergraduates, postgraduates. The Department contributes frequently to the continuing medical education of family physicians by organizing regular teaching programs and lectures. Within the Department, there is a wide range of academic activities such as grand ward rounds, surgery reviews and radiological meetings. Training period is recommended for 3 months and can be altered according to the person. Surgeries on which training is provided is given below:
- ESWL on Siemens Lithotripsy with x-ray and ultrasound localization
- Holmium Laser for ureteric stones
- PCNL in large renal stone
- Flexible uretroscopy
- Holmium Laser enucleation of enlarged prostate
- Laparoscopic urology
- Reconstructive urology
- Double J stent placement
